ABOUT DOMINICK HIDDO
Dominick Hiddo is a self-taught visual artist and creative strategist born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn. His work challenges perception—inviting audiences to question what they know and believe. Drawing deeply from his identity as an Indo-Euro-Jamaican-American, his practice explores mysticism, religion, global traditions, and the constructs of human experience—spanning themes like enlightenment, death and the afterlife, and reincarnation.
Influenced by the likes of Joan Mitchell, Hilma af Klint, Kandinsky, Chagall, and Anish Kapoor—as well as African and Asian art traditions and the Russian Avant-garde—Dominick’s visual language merges the spiritual with the abstract. His work is both visceral and cerebral, intuitive and intentional.
In addition to his art practice, Dominick brings over a decade of creative leadership across fashion, culture, and business. He began his career in finance at HSBC before transitioning into the world of luxury, working with iconic brands such as Fendi, Ralph Lauren, and Barneys New York. His retail and corporate experience informs his approach to storytelling, aesthetics, and community —bridging strategy and soul, commerce and creativity.
He recently served on the Kingston Arts Commission and lives and works in New York.
